Visiting Stevens Institute of Technology scored the game's final three goals, including two in the final two minutes, as the Duck rallied for a 9-8 win over host St. John Fisher College on Senior Day in an Empire 8 Conference women's lacrosse matchup.
With the loss, Fisher, currently ranked 17
th in latest national coaches poll, falls to 13-2 overall and 5-1 in the Empire 8 Conference, while the Ducks improve to 8-6, 4-2. Despite the loss, the Cardinals still control their own destiny.  If Fisher win its final two games, it will be the No. 1 seed for the Empire 8 Championship and will host the four-team tournament.
Stevens scored two goals in the game's first three minutes. After a Fisher timeout, the Cardinals got the board with
Cori Holbrook's first of three goals on the day, but the Ducks answered with two more goals to take a 4-1 lead with 21:42 left in the opening half.

The Cardinals scored three goals in the final 14:22 of the first half to tie the game at 4s and tallied the first two goals of the second half to take a 6-4 lead.Â
Mackenzie LeVan gave Fisher its first lead of the day at 5-4 with 24:28 left.  Just over one minute later, senior
Sierra Badger scored on a free position shot.
The two teams would swap goal over the next 10 minutes with senior
Chrissy Cook scoring with 18:40 left to put the Cardinals up 8-6.  Stevens pulled to within a goal with seven minutes left and tied the game up with 1:45 left on a free position shot.
Stevens regained possession after a Fisher turnover and took the lead with less than a minute to go. The Cardinals won the ensuing draw, but a shot from Holbrook with less than 10 seconds left was saved.
Jordan Johnson and
Kelsie Schindler also scored in the loss. Â
Molly Maguire stopped six shots in goal.
