The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse program leaped out to a 14-0 lead after 30 minutes and never looked back, as the Cardinals coasted to an 18-2 win over host Houghton College on Friday night.
With the win, Fisher, ranked No. 24 in the latest national coaches poll, improves to 14-2 overall and 6-1 in the Empire 8 Conference. The Cardinals, off to their best start in the program's 17-year history, will close out the regular season next Saturday at Ithaca College.  The winner of next Saturday's game will earn the Empire 8 regular season title and will host the four-team tournament the following weekend.

Jordan Johnson led the Cardinals with three points on one goal and two assists.
