The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse program leaped out to a 14-0 lead after 30 minutes and never looked back, as the Cardinals coasted to an 18-2 win over host Houghton College on Friday night.

With the win, Fisher, ranked No. 24 in the latest national coaches poll, improves to 14-2 overall and 6-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.  The Cardinals, off to their best start in the program's 17-year history, will close out the regular season next Saturday at Ithaca College.   The winner of next Saturday's game will earn the Empire 8 regular season title and will host the four-team tournament the following weekend.
 
Twelve different players scored for Fisher.

Jordan Johnson led the Cardinals with three points on one goal and two assists.

Kelsie Schindler, Carly Sullivan, Olivia Marziale, Jackie Picard and Mackenzie LeVan each finished with two goals.   Molly Rourke, Lexi Peebles, Cassie Knowlton and Casey Randall each totaled two points with one goal and one assist. 

Cori Holbrook, Sierra Badger and Morgan Young also scored in the win, while Chrissy Cook picked a point with one assists.
