The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team fell to 4-4 on the year, as the Cardinals dropped an 11-5 decision at Union College on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup.
Fisher jumped to a 1-0 lead with
Matthew Condon scoring the game's first goal four minutes into the contest.
The Dutchmen scored the next two goals to take a 2-1 lead going into the second quarter, but Fisher tied the game up at 2s with
Tim Wagner scoring off a pass from
Andrew Rosso with 9:05 left in the half.
Union, however, would score the final four goals of the half and the only goal in the third quarter to take a 7-2 lead going into the fourth.
After two Union goals, Fisher got back on the board with a goal from
Christopher Buschi with 9:39 left in the game. Â
Gary Bova scored the game's next goal off a pass from Condon to make it 9-4 with 5:34 remaining.
Danny Turck closed out the scoring with a goal with just over one minute left.
Jake Clement led the Fisher defense with three caused turnovers, while goalie
Tanner Swan stopped 11 shots.
Fisher returns to action at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Nazareth College.
