The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team is set to square off against Hartwick College in its final regular season home game of 2016. The contest will kick off at 12 p.m. at Growney Stadium.
Fisher got back on the winning track last week as it doubled up on Ithaca 34-17. Senior quarterback
Matt Naton threw for 251 and two touchdowns while receiver
William Coon racked up 101 receiving yards, his third 100-plus yard game this season.
After the victory last week, the Cardinals jumped up one spot to No. 24 in the D3football.com national poll while earning the No. 3 spot in the East Regional Rankings. The only other Empire 8 team to appear in those polls was Alfred University (No. 15 Nationally, No. 1 East Region).
Hartwick comes into the game after losing to 51-33 to Buffalo State last weekend. The Hawks' Koree Reed caught six balls in the contest, totaling 253 yards, including a 99-yard touchdown reception.
