It's a shot at the Empire 8 title this weekend as two nationally-ranked football teams, in St. John Fisher College and Alfred University, square off for an afternoon battle. The game will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Alfred's Yunevich Stadium.
 
Fisher enters the contest after defeating Hartwick 68-40 in its home finale. The Cardinals' offense looked on point as a multitude of passing and receiving records were broken. Senior quarterback capped off possibly his last home game by throwing for 504 yards and six touchdowns, SJFC single season records for both. Will Coon also tops a record list as the sophomore wide receiver caught 11 passes for a record 222 yards.
 
The Saxons are off to their best start since 1981, posting an undefeated record of 9-0. The team most recently is coming off a 35-21 road victory over Utica College last weekend.
 
Winner of this game not only earns the E8 Championship title, but will also garner an automatic bid into the NCAA Championship.
