The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team defeated Empire 8 rival Nazareth College in a 2-1 overtime victory on Saturday.
Sophomore
Bryan Rollins scored the game-winner off an assist from
Tyler Randall in the 100
th minute during overtime play.
Fisher and Nazareth were tied 1-1 through regulation, Nazareth getting on the board first just 19 minutes into the match. Fisher evened the score with 37 minutes gone in the first half, but neither team would score in the second half. Despite a red card administered to a Fisher player at the start of the second, Fisher was able to hold defensively, playing a man down for the entire second half. Four cards were given over the course of the game, three to Nazareth and one to Fisher.
It was in the first period of overtime when Randall would find Rollins for the game ending goal.

Joe Catalfamo finished with six saves.
The Cardinals return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday when they travel to take on Alfred State College.
