The St. John Fisher College women's soccer program scored a season-high four goals and earned its first Empire 8 Conference win of the season, as the Cardinals cruised to a 4-1 win over visiting Alfred University on Saturday afternoon at Fisher's Growney Stadium. 
The victory marks the 100
th career win for head coach 
Jill McCabe, Fisher's head coach since 2000. 
The Cardinals (4-4-1 overall, 1-1 Empire 8) took the lead for good in the 17
th minute as freshman 
Tara Marcello scored her first career goal off a pass from 
Carly Finn. 
Nearly six minute later, Fisher pushed its lead to 2-0 with Marcello assisting on a goal from 
Nicolette Nigro. 
In the 30
th minute, junior 
Taryn Guinta deflected a pass from 
Erin Mosher from 12 yards out off the right post and into the back of the net, giving the Cardinals a 3-0 lead going into the locker room. 
After an Alfred goal, Fisher pushed its lead back to three goals, as 
Brianna Sammon scored on a breakaway with fellow freshman 
Nicolle Pierce. 
Fisher returns to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and will host SUNY Fredonia.
