The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Elmira College on Wednesday afternoon in the Empire 8 Conference season opener for both teams. With the loss, Fisher falls to 3-4-1 on the year.
The Soaring Eagles took the lead for good, scoring on a direct kick in the 37th minute and added an insurance goal midway through the second half.

Sarah O'Brien finished the game with seven saves for the Cardinals.
Fisher will return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will host Alfred University. The Cardinals will look to earn head coach
Jill McCabe her 100th career win.
