The St. John Fisher College field hockey team came away with a 1-0 win at Ithaca College on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Cardinals improve to 4-2 overall and are now 2-0 in the Empire 8 Conference.
 
Fisher started with an aggressive first half, taking nine shots to Ithaca's three, and received five scoring opportunities on penalty corners.
 
The lone goal of the contest came in the final 20 seconds of the first half with a goal by freshman Lauren Fazio, her fourth of the season.
 
The Bombers controlled possession for most of the second half, out-shooting Fisher 10-0 over the final 35 minutes, but the Cardinals were able to preserve the shutout, thanks to six saves from senior goalie Danielle Famolaro.
 
Fisher returns to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Houghton College.
