The St. John Fisher College field hockey team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday, as the Cardinals dropped a 2-1 decision to host SUNY Cortland. With the loss, Fisher falls to 3-2 overall, while the Red Dragons improve to 3-1.

Nickole Morgan opening the scoring, one-timing a shot into the left side followng a penalty corner.
Elizabeth Cusack was credited with the assist, putting Fisher up 1-0 less than four minutes into the game.
The Red Dragons, however, evened the score midway through the first half and scored the game's final goal with just under 10 minute in the opening period.
Fisher had a 9-6 in penalty corners, including a 6-3 margin in the second half, but was never able to tally the equalizer.

Danielle Famolaro, the reigning Empire 8 Defensive Player of the Week, tallied seven saves over 70 minutes.
Fisher returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Ithaca College. The Cardinals are 1-0 in Empire 8 action.
