The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team drew to a 0-0 score in a match against Snationally-ranked SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at Nazareth College.
With the tie, the Cardinals are 2-2-1 on the season, and the Geneseo Knights are 2-1-1.
The game went scoreless through 90 minutes and two overtime periods, but the strong Geneseo offense was easily handled by goalkeeper
Gabriella Cotugno as she made a career-high 14 saves, destroying her previous record of eight.
Cotugno and the other members of the Fisher defense were able to successfully protect the net against seven offensive corners from the Knights, ranked 23rd nationally, two of which came in the final minutes of the second overtime period.
The Cardinals return to play at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as they take on the Rochester Institute of Technology at Growney Stadium.
