The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision on to host College on Brockport on Thursday.
With the loss, the Cardinals drop to 2-2 on the season and the Golden Eagles advance to 2-1-1. The game was the first of two contests in the Breast Cancer Awareness Weekend Tournament, featuring Fisher, Brockport, Nazareth College and SUNY Geneseo.
The match went scoreless in the opening half, but the hosting Golden eagles struck first in the 62
nd minute, bringing the score to 1-0.
Brockport scored again late in the second half, but the Cardinals soon answered with a goal in the final minute of play.
Taryn Guinta was able to dribble around her defender and create a breakaway for herself. The goalkeeper challenged but Guinta beat her to the ball ending in a score for the Cardinals.

Gabriella Cotugno made six saves for the Cardinals.
The Cardinals will resume play at 3 p.m. Saturday when they take on SUNY Geneseo. The game will be played at Nazareth College.
