The St. John Fisher women's soccer team won its season opener on Tuesday with a 1-0 win over host Juniata College.

Jamie Alloco fired a shot from inside the box. The lone goal of the game as unassisted.

Gabriella Cotugno was able to stop two key shots in the 79

nd minutes to preserve the 1-0 lead for Fisher. The junior faced 17 shots and recorded eight saves to post her first career shutout against the Eagles.
The Cardinals return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will face host Bryn Mawr College. Â
