After winning two games on Saturday at Ithaca College, the St. John Fisher College baseball program completed the three-game sweep, as the Cardinals came through with a 5-2 win over the host Bombers on Sunday.
With the win, Fisher improves to 18-16 overall and is 12-2 in its last 14 games.
Pitcher
Terry Engels (3-2) went all nine innings for Fisher, allowing two unearned runs on just four hits and one walk with five strikeouts.
Fisher scored the first five runs in the game and took the lead for good in the first inning with
Scott Eisenmenger delivering a two-out double to score
Shane Barley.
The Cardinals added two more runs in the fifth with
Joe Simmons' two-run double scoring
Matthew Cahill and
Victor Konstantinovsky.
In the eighth inning,
Cody Wiktorski, who led Fisher with three hits on the day, singled in Barley and scored on an RBI-single from Cahill.
Cahill and Barley each finished the day with two hits, with Barley scoring two runs.
Fisher returns to action at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and will host Houghton College
