The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team captured its first win of the season in a 4-0 decision over the Alfred State Pioneers on Wednesday.
The first goal of the game came from
Joel Castellini in the 8
th minute when he headed the ball into the back of the net on a ball from
AJ Klemczak.
Just over ten minutes later, the Cardinals struck again when Klemczak rocketed the ball past the goalkeeper, leading Fisher into the second half up 2-0 over the Pioneers.
The Cardinals started out strong in the second half and after four minutes Castellini dribbled past his defender on a breakaway and lofted a shot just over the goalkeeper, advancing Fisher to 3-0.
Freshman
Brian Norman scored his first goal of the season as he slipped the ball past the keeper on an assist from
Brandon Callaghan.
All four Cardinals scored their first goals of the season in tonight's matchup.
Fisher men's soccer returns to action at 3 p.m. on Saturday in a home Empire 8 contest against Utica College.
