Men’s Soccer Blanks Utica 3-0

The St. John Fisher men's soccer team defeated Utica College on Saturday in a 3-0 shutout.

With the win, the Cardinals advance to 2-10 on the season, and Utica falls to 4-9.

Jake Gentile started the five minute scoring stretch as he was able to shake his defender and score unassisted in the 21st minute.

Just over two minutes later, Joel Castellini had a one-time shot on a pass from Gentile.

The final scoring play of the game came from freshman Tyler Randall when he headed the ball into the net on a feed from Castellini in the 26th minute.

Goalkeeper Joseph Catalfamo recorded three saves for the Cardinals.

Fisher men's soccer returns to action at 11 a.m. on October 17th when it travels to Hoboken, NJ, to take on the Stevens Ducks for an Empire 8 Conference Matchup.
