The St. John Fisher College field hockey team closed out its regular season with a 2-1 loss to opponent St. Lawrence University in its senior game on Saturday at Growney Stadium.
With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 12-6 on the season, while the Saints improve to 5-11.

The Saints would score again in the opening minutes of the second half to bring the Cardinal deficit to two goals.
Fisher countered with a goal in the 45
th minute from
Emily Markarian on a cross feed from
Elizabeth Cusack, but the Saints lead would hold for the remainder of the game.
The Cardinals will return to action at 6 p.m. next Friday in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Championship. The Cardinals are the No. 2 seed in the four-team tournament, hosted by No. 1 Ithaca College.
