The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team lost to the University of Rochester Yellowjackets in a 4-1 decision Saturday evening at Growney Stadium.
With the loss Fisher drops to 5-10-1 on the season, while Rochester improves to 8-5-1 overall.
Goalkeeper
Melissa McGowan made her first start of the season for the Cardinals, making five saves.
The Yellowjackets came out strong in the first half scoring three times in the first 22 minutes of the match.
The Cardinals went into the second half down by three goals and would allow Rochester to score once more in the 59
th minute, advancing the deficit to 4-0.
Chelsea Grupp scored the lone goal of the match, her first goal of the season, in the 75
th minute on a long shot from midfield.
The Cardinals return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday when they take on the Bengals of Buffalo State at home.
