The St. John Fisher College volleyball program went 1-1 on Saturday at the Empire 8 Conference Crossover Tournament, hosted by Ithaca College. The Cardinals rallied from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Hartwick College 3-2 (19-25, 24-26, 28-26, 25-11, 16-14) in Saturday's opening match, but dropped a 3-0 decision to the host Bombers. Fisher returns to action on Wednesday at SUNY Cortland.
Fisher 3, Hartwick 2Meghan Stonebarger tallied a career-high 55 assists in the win, while tallying 14 digs.
Megan Miller led the Cardinals with 18 kills and added 14 digs, while
Anna Marcy colleced 15 kills and 22 digs.
Katie Mazierski led her squad with 30 digs.
Madison Karwas finished with 13 kills, while
Amanda Miller added 10 kills.
Elise Kreuz chipped in with 12 digs.
Ithaca 3, Fisher 0Megan Miller and Marcy each finished with seven kills. Stonebarger notched 18 assists and 10 digs, while Mazierski finished with a team-high 19 digs.
