The St. John Fisher College women's volleyball team fell to the College of Brockport 3-0 (20-25, 18-25, 20-25) on Senior Night at Bobby Wanzer Court on Tuesday in front an energetic crowd.
Fisher for most of set one fed off the crowd to make it back and forth action as they tied Brockport three times in the set. Brockport was only able to break away at two points in the set when they led 19-13 and later won the set 25-20.
Fisher had a hard time finding their offensive spark as the Cardinals recorded 30 kills and 27 errors for the three sets.
The Cardinals were led by both
Katie Mazierski and
Anna Marcy as they each recorded seven kills, while Mazierski also tallied 15 digs.
Freshman
Elise Kruez led the team in digs with 22 and aces with two.
Teammates
Megan Miller and
Amanda Miller combined for 12 kills to close out the match.
The Cardinals fall to 10-12 overall on the season while Brockport improves 21-1 on the year.
Fisher is back in action this Friday and Saturday as the Cardinals take part in the Brockport Invitational.
