The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team defeated Utica College 4-1 on Sunday in an Empire 8 matchup.
With the win, Fisher improves to 5-6-1 on the season, 2-2-0 in the Empire 8, and Utica falls to 2-8-2 overall and 0-4-0 in the conference.
Utica struck first in the 24
th minute, but the Cardinals answered with two goals in the 27
th and 29
th minutes to take the lead.
Nicolette Nigro was assisted by
Jackie Romano in the 27
th to tie the match at 1-1, while in the 29
th minute
Makenzie Winslow brought the score to 2-1 on yet another assist from Romano.
Fisher opened up the second half with a goal from Romano in the 67
th minute, and ended with a final goal from
Jamie Alloco, who scored in the 86
th minute.
The Cardinals return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they travel to take on Ithaca College.
