The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team will put its eight-game winning streak on the line at 4 p.m. on Saturday as the Cardinals look for their first-ever championship crown when it visits the Ithaca College Bombers. Fisher fell to Ithaca earlier this season, 11-9, despite holding a 6-3 lead at halftime.
Fisher defeated Nazareth College for the second time in four days in the Empire 8 semifinal to advance to the championship, after overcoming a two-goal halftime deficit en route to a thrilling 11-10 victory.
The winner of Saturday's matchup will receive the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.
