The nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College football team (6-1, 4-1) will host Buffalo State College (5-2, 3-2) at 12 p.m. Saturday at Growney Stadium on Hall of Fame weekend.
No. 15 Fisher is coming off its first shutout of the season after a 61-0 triumph over Alfred State College last Saturday. Eight different players scored for Fisher, including two seniors finding the end zone for the first time in their career with Jimmy Ross scoring a 4-yard rushing touchdown and Sammy Hasan recovering a fumble in the end zone. The Cardinals set two school records in the win, holding the Pioneers to -4 yards rushing and just 61 yards of total offense.
The Bengals suffered a 31-21 setback last weekend against Utica College after previously winning back-to-back games. Fisher will face a tough task of shutting down running back Rich Pete, who ranks second in the Empire 8 averaging 116.4 rushing yards per game, while sitting in a tie for points per game at 8.6.Â

Tyler Fenti enters the game ranked eighth in the country in passer efficiency (186.2) completing 108-of-164 passes for 1,563 yards, 20 touchdowns and no interceptions. He is just one of two quarterbacks ranked in the top 100 who has not thrown an interception this season.Â
Freshman Running back/kick returner James Chambers continues to impress as he ranks 40th nationally in all-purpose yards per game at 143.6.Â
