The St. John Fisher College volleyball team fell to non-conference opponent SUNY Cortland in four sets (25-16, 25-22, 25-17, 25-22) on Friday evening.
The Red Dragons took the first, third and fourth sets to claim their 10th win on the season. The Cardinals fought through the second set that saw 10 tied scores to win 25-22. With the loss, though, Fisher falls to 8-17 overall.
Anna Marcy and
Madison Karwas led Fisher's offense with 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
Amanda Miller added six and two blocks with another pair of blocks from Karwas.
Erica Stickler (18) and
Brooke Meader (16) combined for 34 assists.
Katie Mazierski paced the defense with 12 digs. Karwas, Stickler and
Erin Crandall added nine digs apiece.
Fisher returns to action on Saturday when the Cardinals face Hilbert College and host Buffalo State College for its invitational.
