Volleyball Goes 1-1 At Buffalo State Invitational

The St. John Fisher College volleyball team split two non-conference matches on Saturday afternoon at the Buffalo State Invitational. The Cardinals are now 9-18 overall.

Fisher 3, Hilbert 1

Hilbert took the first set 25-23 but the Cardinals fought back and won the next three sets decisively (25-21, 25-16, 25-17).

Buffalo State 3, Fisher 0

The Bengals swept Fisher in three straight sets 25-21, 25-14 and 25-16.

Anna Marcy posted a 12-point match with 10 kills, 12 digs and two block solos. Madison Karwas added nine kills and 13 digs. Erica Stickler rounded out the offense with 21 assists.

Katie Mazierski led the defense with 18 digs.

Fisher returns to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday when they take on visiting Rochester institute of Technology as the Cardinals honor their graduating seniors.
