The St. John Fisher College basketball teams will host a pair of conference games this weekend as the Cardinals welcome Elmira College on Friday evening and Alfred University on Saturday.  The first 100 students in attendance on Friday will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Northwestern Mutual.

The men's team will tip-off the action at 6 p.m. on Friday with the women scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.  On Saturday, the men will play an afternoon contest beginning at 2 p.m., while the women will battle at 4 p.m.

On the men's side, Fisher enters the weekend having won seven of its last eight games including a pair of conference wins last weekend.  Fisher currently sits in second place in the Empire 8 standings with a 4-1 record (10-5 overall).

Elmira comes to Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium having lost six of its last eight, while Alfred boasts one of the top-scoring offenses in the country, averaging nearly 100 points per game this season.  

The women's team will look to continue building momentum after coming off an impressive win against Utica College last weekend.  Fisher holds a 9-6 record overall and is 2-3 against Empire 8 opponents.

The Soaring Eagles currently sit in second place in the Empire 8 standings with a 4-0 record.  Elmira has not lost since November 19^th, winning 10 consecutive games in that span.  Alfred comes into the weekend having lost five straight games, most recently to Stevens.
