BOX SCORE

The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team suffered its first Empire 8 Conference loss of the year on Saturday, losing 10-8 to No. 8 Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ.

With the loss, Fisher falls to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the Empire 8, while the Ducks improve to 8-2, 2-0.

Fisher controlled the game early on, outshooting the Ducks 10-3 in the first quarter and 10-4 in the second quarter.  After Stevens scored the first goal, Fisher took a 2-1 lead.  Nick Rossi scored off a pass from Bryan Dyer and Jeff Wester scored an unassisted goal with 2:46 left in the first.

After the Ducks tied it at 2s, Fisher took a 3-2 lead at intermission after Rossi's second goal of the game – a man-up goal with Greg Ramsden assisting.

Stevens, however, came out on fire in the second half, scoring four goals in the first nine minutes of the third to take a 6-3 lead.
