Softball Takes Two At Keuka

The St. John Fisher College softball program returned to its winning ways on Monday, taking both games of its doubleheader at Keuka College.  With the two wins, Fisher improves to 19-11 and 15-5 since its trip to Georgia last month.   The Cardinals will return to action at 3 p.m. on Tuesday and will host SUNY Cortland in a pivotal non-conference matchup.

Game One – Fisher 6, Keuka 1

Sophomore Lauren Wesolowski improved to 5-0 on the year, pitching seven solid innings and allowing just two hits.

Freshman Jessie Smyrski went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI to lead the Cardinals.  Senior Sarah Fordyce hit her team-leading eighth home run of the year and third in as many days.   Kayla Goodberlet picked up two hits, while Kate Disbrow scored two runs.

Game Two  - Fisher 11, Keuka 0 (five innings)
