The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team closed out the 2011 season
with an 18-8 win over visiting Elmira College in an Empire 8 Conference matchup at Fisher's Growney Stadium.
With the win, Fisher finishes the year with a 12-4 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Empire 8.

Erich Rassow and junior
Connor Henderson tied Fisher single-game records in the win. Rassow, playing in his final game at the collegiate level, tied the Fisher single-game record for face offs won, going 24-for-25 at the X. He also scooped up 13 ground balls.
Henderson tied the Fisher record for assists in a game with seven and finished with a team-best eight points on the day.
Twelve different players scored for Fisher. Senior
Mike Cummins totaled three goals, while adding 10 ground balls. Senior
Zach Fayette finished with three points on two goals and one assist. Seniors
Alexander Bopp and
Ryan Schmidt also scored in their final game.
Mitch Ritchie led Fisher with four goals and added one assist.
Greg Ramsden,
Tyler Kleehammer,
Mike Byrnes and
Kyle Denhoff each scored in the win, as did
Dustin Makuch and
Bryan Dyer, who both scored their first collegiate goal.
Matt McShea made four saves in 42 minutes of action, improving his record to 12-2 on the year.
