The St. John Fisher College softball program led host Ithaca College in both games of its doubleheader, but failed to come away with a single win, as the Cardinals dropped two games to the Bombers on Saturday.
Game One: Ithaca 9, Fisher 4
The Cardinals led 4-2 going into the bottom-half of the fifth inning, but Ithaca scored the game's final seven runs. Fisher scored three in the third with two outs.
Kayla Goodberlet doubled in
Jennifer Vanek, while
Jamie Harmon hit a two-run single.
Carissa Carlson went 2-for-3, while Vanek also finished with two hits.
Game Two: Ithaca 2, Fisher 1
The Bombers finished with six hits, but three of them came in the seventh, giving Ithaca their only two runs of the game. Pitcher
Sarah Stefanon, who struck out eight, suffered the loss. Vanek, who went 3-for-3 at the plate, scored Fisher's lone run off an RBI-single from Goodberlet.
