One week after snapping the second-longest winning streak in the nation, the St. John Fisher College football program will look to knock off yet another undefeated team.
Fisher (9-2) travels to Doylestown, Penn. on Saturday to take on top-seeded Delaware Valley College (11-0) at 12 p.m. in the regional semifinals of the NCAA Division III Championship. The Cardinals advanced to the Sweet 16 with a 23-12 win last week at Johns Hopkins University, who entered the game with a 15-game winning streak.
This is Fisher's fourth appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Cardinals are 4-0 all-time in first round games and a 2-1 all-time in second round games. Fisher's lone loss in the second round came back in 2004, when Delaware Valley scored two touchdowns in the final 62 seconds to beat the Cardinals 26-20.
