The St. John Fisher College softball team rallied to earn a split in its doubleheader at Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday.
After losing 2-0 in the first game, the
Cardinals picked up a 2-1 win over the host Tigers in the nightcap.
Fisher (8-8 overall, 1-1 Empire 8) mustered only four hits in the opener.
Danielle Leone was tagged with the loss, allowing just four hits, one earned run, no walk and one strikeout.
Carissa Carlson singled twice in the game.
In the second game,
Michelle Krier struck out eight and scattered five hits to earn the win.
Samantha Vara and
Jenn Vanek each picked up two hits, while Carlson and
Jamie Harmon each singled and scored a run.
Fisher will return to action at 3 p.m. on Monday and will host SUNY Brockport.
