The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team improved to 4-0 on the year with a 12-8 win over visiting Clarkson University on Saturday.
The Cardinals jumped out to a 1-0 lead just 24 seconds into the game and never trailed in the contest. With the game tied at 3-3 going into the second quarter, the Cardinals scored five straight goals in the second half to take command, four of which came in a 2:26 span midway through the stanza.
Clarkson pulled to within three goals at 9-6 in the second, but the Cardinals scored two goals in the final minute of the third quarter to go back up five.
Erich Rassow led the Cardinals with 11 ground balls and was a stellar 20-for-23 on face-offs.
Fisher will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday and will host The College at Brockport.
