Women's Soccer Falls to Buffalo State

The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team held the Bengals off for the first half, could not capitalize in the second and came home with a 1-0 loss to Buffalo State.

The first half went scoreless, but just over 13 minutes into the second, the Bengals' Melissa Mahoney grabbed the loose ball of the corner kick to fly it past goalkeeper Jessica Plukas

Plukas recorded seven saves between the pipes.

Sarah Bihl led Fisher with two shots.  The Bengals held the shot advantage by a 10-shot margin, leading 16-6.

The Cardinals, now 2-8-1 overall, return to action as they host conference opponent Hartwick on Saturday at 1 p.m.
