Women's Soccer Defeated 6-1 by Union College

The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team ended the weekend at the Union Tournament with a 6-1 loss to Union College Sunday afternoon. The Cardinals went 1-1 on the weekend.

Fisher fell behind fast as Union capitalized on a corner kick opportunity to make the score 1-0 just eight minutes into the first half. Union tallied three more goals to take a solid 4-0 lead by the end of the first half.

The Cardinals didn't get on the scoreboard until the 73rd minute of the game, when Union had already picked up two more goals to take on a six-goal advantage. Fisher's lone goal came from Kaitlin Moran, her second of the season, off an assist from Elizabeth Lawrence.

Union outshot Fisher 19-11. Megan Gee led the Cardinals in shooting, tallying five shots.

Fisher falls to 1-4-1 with the loss. They return to play Wednesday when they host R.I.T at Growney Stadium. The contest begins at 7 p.m.
