After seeing a three-goal lead slip away, the No. 22 St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team rattled off three unanswered goals to regain momentum in a
7-5 win over visiting Hartwick College in an Empire 8 Conference game. The win extendeds the Cardinals' College-record nine game win streak to open the season, and improves Fisher's E8 record to a perfect 2-0.

The Cardinals extended their 2-1 halftime advantage to three goals, 4-1, on an unassisted goal from
Kyle Denhoff at the 5:27 mark of the third quarter. In a game where Fisher seemed to have the momentum, Hartwick pulled itself back into the contest with three straight goals to knot the score at four all with just under 10 minutes to play in the fourth period.

Fisher answered with a three-goal run of its own, including
Jeff Price's second and third goals of the day just 67 seconds apart, to put the nail in the coffin.

Price (3g) and Denhoff (2g, 1a) led the way for the Cardinals with three points each, while specialist
Dave Wood won 10 faceoffs and scooped up a team-high five groundballs.
Jon Cortina was solid between the pipes with 11 saves.

Fisher (9-0, 2-0 Empire 8) will take on No. 4 Ithaca College at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in Ithaca, NY.
