The St. John Fisher College softball team won both games of its doubleheader with Medaille College on Friday, raising its record to 10-2 on the year.
In the first game, Kristi Bradley drove in three runs, while Samantha Vara and Kelly Jones each scored two runs in a 5-2 victory. Jones also hit her first career home run in the win. Amanda Shevchuk allowed seven hits and no earned runs, improving her record to 4-2 on the year.
In the nightcap, Fisher scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the eighth to pull out a 3-2 victory. After Medaille scored a run in the top of the eighth, pinch hitter Jenn Vanek singled in pinch runner #Kristin McCoy. Vanek stole second and scored after a throw to first base went out of play.
Melissa Blakeney pitched all eight innings and raised her record to 6-0 on the year.
