St. John Fisher University Athletics

Miranda Lynch (Webster/Webster Thomas) of the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team has been named the College's Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 10. Lynch was the Cardinals leading scorer in their season-opening 62-58 victory at St. Lawrence on Saturday. 

The sophomore started her season off with a career-high 19 points while shooting six-of-eight from the field including five-of six from beyond the arc. Lynch made all three of her three-point attempts in the first half as the Cardinals got out in front by 10 points in the first 20 minutes. The Webster native also made two clutch free throws in the final minute of the fourth quarter as Fisher held off the Saints down the stretch. 

Lynch and the Cardinals next head to Boston, Mass. for Emmanuel College Tip-Off Classic this upcoming weekend. Fisher faces Husson University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
