Lauren Fazio (Hopewell Junction/Arlington) of the St. John Fisher College field hockey team has been named the College's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 23rd, 2018.
Fazio posted 10 points last week as the Cardinals finished the week 2-0, with Empire 8 Conference victories over Houghton on Tuesday and Elmira on Saturday.
The senior notched her second career hat-trick versus the Highlanders, with four shots on goal.
The Hopewell Junction native kept her offensive hot-streak going, as she finished with two goals and four shots on net in the Fisher 5-0 win over the Soaring Eagles.
For the season, Fazio currently has totaled six goals, three assists, and 15 points.
Field hockey returns to the field on Wednesday, when they welcome Ithaca to Growney Stadium at 5 p.m. for a non-conference matchup.
