St. John Fisher University Athletics

Olivia Baumann (Guilderland/Albany) of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team was named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after a pair of standout performances during the week that concluded January 14, 2018.

Baumann, a freshman forward on the team, averaged 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals over two games while shooting 12-for-25 from the field and 7-for-7 from the free throw line.

Against Houghton, Baumann notched 13 points in 16 minutes before scoring a career-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds in a win over Alfred.

Baumann currently ranks fourth on the team at 7.8 points per game in just under 12 minutes per contest.

Women’s basketball makes it return to the court at 8 p.m. on Tuesday when it hosts Nazareth College in the Battle of the Beaks inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium.
