Tyler Farrell of the men’s basketball team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 31st, 2017.
The Cardinals capped off a 2-0 weekend with the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Tournament title and improved their overall record to 5-4 on the year.
On Friday, Farrell finished with 11 points and eight rebounds as Fisher defeated The College at Old Westbury 80-58 in the second semi-final on Bobby Wanzer Court.
The following night, the senior finished with four points, six rebounds, four steals, and a highlight reel rejection as the Cardinals topped Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 76-75, in a back-and-forth, high intensity championship game.
