St. John Fisher University Athletics

Jeff Palmerino (Glenmont/Bethlehem) of the St. John Fisher College men’s golf team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week after a leading the Cardinals to their seventh straight Empire 8 Championship and an automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship in May.

Palmerino finished the four-round tournament in a tie for second place with a score of 310, which was just four strokes off the winning pace. 

Palmerino, who was named First-Team All-Conference at the conclusion of the championship, shot a two-day score of 158 (+16), which tied him for third place.  The senior opened the spring championship with an 81 before shaving off four strokes on the final day to move up seven spots on the final leaderboard. 

The Glenmont native will return to the links on April 29 as the Cardinals compete in the Laker Spring Tournament at the Oswego Country Club.
