Anna Marcy of the St. John Fisher College volleyball team has been named the Female
Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 11, 2016.

Marcy led the team in kills during all four matches over the week, helping the team post a 2-2 record.

In Wednesday’s home opener, the outside hitter registered eight kills while also digging a team-high 11 balls.

At the University of Rochester tournament over the weekend, Marcy recorded double-digit kills in the first two games and notched a double-double (11 kills, 12 digs) in the first contest against the Rochester Yellowjackets.

The junior currently has 116 kills on the season which leads all players in the Empire 8 conference.

Fisher returns to the court at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as they head to Oswego State to take on the Lakers.
