St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Tyler Hart of the men’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 3^rd, 2016.

After playing in only the season opener, Hart had impressive performances in his first two games back in action in the Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Invitational, hosted by Fisher. The Cardinals won the tournament after a 94-63 win over Cazenovia College on Tuesday, and a 67-54 victory over Renssealaer Polytechnic Institute in the championship game the following day.

Hart totaled 41 points in the two-game stretch, including a career-high 23 points in the match against RPI. The senior sank five 3-pointers in the championship game to hit his 100^th 3-pointer of his career at Fisher.

The Cardinals are back in action on the road at 6 p.m. on January 8^th when they take on the Elmira College Soaring Eagles for their first Empire 8 Conference game of the season
