PITTSFORD, N.Y., April 27, 2015 — Gary Bova (Onondaga/Nedrow) of the men’s lacrosse team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 26.

Bova led Fisher with nine points on five goals and four assists, as the Cardinals went 1-1 in their final week of the regular season. He also provided three ground balls and one caused turnover over the week.

The attackman recorded six of his nine points on Wednesday when Fisher defeated host Utica College 15-8. Bova then tallied a team-high two goals as the Cardinals fell 16-6 to Nazareth College on Saturday.

No. 4-seeded Fisher moves onto the Empire 8 Men’s Lacrosse Championship, where the Cardinals face top seed Nazareth at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
