Greg Lohrman (Webster Thomas/Webster) of the nationally-ranked football team has been selected as the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 9, 2014.

The senior carried No. 24 Fisher’s offense, making two field goals in the first half, in the Cardinals’ 19-8 loss to visiting Ithaca College on Saturday.  It was the fewest points and the first time Fisher failed to score a touchdown since a 33-3 loss to Mount Union in the 2008 season-opener.

Lohrman put Fisher up 3-0 with 1:40 left in the first quarter with a career-long 31-yard field goal, followed by a 25-yard field goal with 18 seconds remaining in the first half.

The senior has made all but one field goal attempt, 5-of-6, for a .8 field goal made/game percentage, which ranks second in the Empire 8 Conference.

With the loss, Fisher drops to 7-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play.

The Cardinals close out the regular season against host Alfred University (5-4, 3-4) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
