St. John Fisher University Athletics

Jamie Campagna (Liverpool/Liverpool) of the St. John Fisher College men’s lacrosse team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his efforts concluding on May 4, 2014.
 
Campagna helped guide the Cardinals to their first appearance in the Empire 8 title game since 2009 after Fisher defeated Nazareth in a thrilling come-from-behind win in the semifinal round of the 2014 Empire 8 Championships before falling to top-seeded Ithaca College in the title game.
 
The Liverpool native tallied double-digit save totals in both games over the weekend, marking the fourth-straight game in which he made 11 or more saves and seventh time this season.
 
Campagna finished the 2014 campaign ranked first among all conference goaltenders with a .627 save percentage and second in the conference with a 6.58 goals against average.
 
Campagna combined to stop 28 shots in the tournament giving him 148 saves on the year.  For his career, the senior goalie will go down as one of the best to ever stand between the pipes for Fisher, ranking second all-time in saves (477), second in wins (30) and fourth all-time in goals against average (8.09).
