St. John Fisher University Athletics

Evan Magnussen (Geneseo/Geneseo) of the men’s cross country team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 27, 2013.

Magnussen was the top finisher for the Cardinals at the NYSCTC Cross Country Championships held in Clinton, New York on Saturday.

The junior finished the 8-kilometer course in a time of 28:00.5, good for 33^rd place out of 127 runners.

Magnussen continues to string together quality performances as he has been the top finisher for Fisher in each race this season.

Fisher's next competition begins at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Empire 8 Championships held at Saratoga Springs State Park in Saratoga, N.Y.
