St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Stacie Skidmore (Rome/Rome Free Academy) of the field hockey team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 29, 2013.

Skidmore had strong performances in the Cardinals’ 2-0 week, playing a part in four of the team’s five tallies.

On Wednesday Skidmore scored both of Fisher’s goals en route to a 2-0 victory over Wells College.

The junior followed up that performance with two assists on Saturday as the Cardinals defeated host Elmira College, 3-0.

Skidmore leads Fisher in assists with four and is tied for the team lead in points with 10.
Fisher (5-4) returns to action at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and will host University of Rochester at Growney Stadium.
