St. John Fisher College has selected Tyler Fenti (Honeoye Falls/Honeoye Falls-Lima) of the nationally-ranked football team as the College's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2013.

In just his second career start, Fenti broke the College’s single-game passing record, throwing for 453 yards in a 42-21 victory over Washington & Jefferson College in the Cardinals’ home-opener.  The previous passing mark was 385 yards, set by Greg Roland in 2002.

Fenti started off hot connecting on his first pass of the game, an 87-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Francis (Batavia Notre Dame/Batavia).

The senior finished the day 18-of-26 passing with a career-high four touchdowns.

The Cardinals, who moved up from No. 19 to No. 18 in the d3football.com poll, are idle this week and return to action at 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 28th hosting SUNY Cortland as part of Homecoming Weekend activities.
